Current Events

 Wednesday, May 9-  Keep your fingers crossed that the rain holds off for the Grade 8 bicycling trip today. We are cycling to the Bytown museum. Students should come to school with a big lunch, cycling gear, and prepared to be outside.

Summit Grade 8's will be attending various mini-orientations of their high school. There will be a visit to Glebe HS on Wednesday, May 16 and to Nepean HS on Thursday, May 17th. Please download additional forms under the field trip link.

To All Incoming Grade 6 families: The Summit Open House took place on April 11th from 6 - 7:30 p.m. If you still have any queries about the program, please contact the school office or eleri.morgan@ocdsb.ca

The final Quebec City payment was due on April 6th. There are still a number of outstanding balances. Please contact Ms. Morgan or the tour company at 1-877-387-9887 from Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 - 5:30 p.m. if you are unsure of your final balance. Reminder notes with remaining balances came home on April 3rd.

The Summit Workshops will take place on Friday, May 18th. Thank you for the incredible response we ultimately received. The date will be filled with great activities for your children to experience.

Welcome to Summit Alternative School
At Summit, we offer a regular English, Core French Alternative program. Summit Alternative School was founded in 1995, to serve students who were interested in an experiential, child-centered, learning environment. Summit Alternative School is located at the very "Summit"(3rd Floor) of Fisher Park School. Summit students share all the facilities, administration and full range of extra-curricular activities available at Fisher Park. Summit features: high academic expectations, recognition of individual learning styles, dedicated staff who facilitate Summit student learning experiences, "hands on" learning both in the school and while on field trips. Summit Alternative is co-located with Fisher Park P.S. We share a building, administration, teachers, teams, clubs, pride, & spirit for our school.

Grade 8 Leaving Ceremony Dates: June 26th for Summit & June 27th for Fisher... Both ceremonies will take place during the afternoon.
